Uber has resumed testing its self-driving cars on public roads, four months after the fatal crash which prompted the startup to shut down its testing program. The vehicles will not be driven in autonomous mode but instead will be manually operated by human drivers. The cars will feature an active driver monitoring system to keep tabs on the safety driver.
