The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has stayed an order of the Competition Commission of India that imposed a penalty of ₹136 crore on Google for “search bias”. The Tribunal also directed Google to deposit 10% of the penalty amount. In February, the Commission said Google was abusing its dominance in online web search and online search advertising markets.
